A DERIVATIVE ‘LIFE’
“What is ‘real’? How do you define ‘real?’ If you’re talking about what you can feel, what you can smell, taste, and see then ‘real’ is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain.”
—Morpheus, The Matrix
“In quantum mechanics, particles do not have a definite state unless they’re being observed. Many theorists have spent a lot of time trying to figure out how you explain this. One explanation is that we’re living within a simulation, seeing what we need to see when we need to see it”.
—Dr. Rich Terrile, Director of the Center for Evolutionary Computation and Automated Design at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory
“The entire universe might be just a super advanced virtual reality simulation”
—Melvin Vopson, Professor of Physics

Is the scene BELOW real? Or is it simulated?

Reviews A derivative life:
“A Derivative Life is an invitation not to settle for the simulation, not be caught up in the cheap copies and counterfeit goods but go for the real treasure itself – our true Being and our true Home. If you want to engage with a truthseeker not afraid to look behind the veil and tell what he found there, Heartsong’s book is for you. It is indeed a song from the heart.”
— Dr. Irina Kuzminsky
“What opened my eyes most was the clarity with which he ties together spiritual identity with global disillusionment. He doesn’t just ask, “What is real?”, he offers an answer that feels both cosmic and grounded. You might not agree with every conclusion, but you cannot deny the sincerity or the startling coherence of his message.”
— Nicole Cloutier
“Whether you choose to interpret this book as metaphorical, speculative or factual it’s an immensely worthwhile read for anyone who is willing to face that there is indeed a rising tide of darkness on our planet. But as Carl Jung once said, “One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious.” Moreover, the author offers a reassuring and truly helpful ending to his book.”

A DERIVATIVE ‘LIFE’
“One of my missions is to turn on its head the idea that carbon dioxide is a pollutant and somehow dangerous. When, in fact, it is the most important nutrient for all life on Earth and without it this world would be a dead planet. So I say that not only is carbon dioxide good it is essential and it is good that they were putting carbon dioxide in the atmosphere because it was running low before we came along.”

ABOUT ME
Heartsong’s latest book, Leaving the Matrix and Returning Home to The Infinite, Heaven, was written after back to back paranormal experiences spoke to the truth of where we are, what we are, and what is truly going on in this ‘world’. He believes this ‘world’ is a ‘place’ we do not really want to be and it was never our intention to be here. Given what he’s learned this book is purposed to help you understand where you are and to help you leave the matrix and return Home.
Heartsong is the author of seven books. He is a former writer for the San Francisco Chronicle Online, a former Board Member and Vice President of the California Writers Club (CWC) Berkeley, a member of the Writer's Workshop (San Francisco), Writers and Authors and the Association of Writers.
